Day 2

Yesterday was not bad - I was unusually hungry all day, but I don't think it's due to the shakes- I usually have 2-3 days a month that I'm ravenous, and it's about that time of the month for me. Just a perk of being female.

Since I was so hungry and my health educator stressed that "more is better", I did do that. She also asked that on our 1st day we drink a minimum of 6 shakes instead of 5, and add any soup, pudding, bars or entrees to it if we wanted.

Diary of Day 1:
5:30 am - Workout - 15 min Elliptical, 10 min Bike
6:45 am - Shake - Chocolate
8:00 am - shake - vanilla with 1 tsp. strawberry/banana sugar free jello & splenda
water - 24 oz
9:00 am - cereal (sub's for a shake)
10:00 am - 24 oz water
11:00 am - 24 oz water
12:00 pm - Chocolate shake
Mushroom risotto Entree
2:30 pm - Chocolate shake
2:45 pm - 24 oz water
3:45 pm - Bar honey gram
6:00 pm - Savory chicken entree
Vanilla shake w/ 1 tsp cherry jello
2 pk chicken soup (sub 2 soups for 1 shake)
7:30 pm - 24 oz water

Total was 250 cal burned, 7 shakes, 2 entree, 1 bar, vitamin, 120 oz water

I developed some light headiness around 4:30 and laid down for 15 minutes - after that everything was great. I had a ton of energy by the end of the day and around 8pm found myself cleaning house and doing stuff instead of sitting on the couch like usual.

Luckily my husband worked late yesterday so, I was not tempted to snack when making him dinner - but I did have to force myself to not reach in the fridge out of habit and grab for some cheese or something to stuff in my mouth. The biggest challenge I had was late last night when I had to make my daughters lunch for school - I had to consciously think, "NO, don't taste it, no don't eat that last piece of meat". Tonight I'm be sure to fix her lunch right after dinner, so that I'll be full and not tempted to eat or nibble on anything.

Even with all the distractions and temptations, I did stay "in the box" all day.
I took some before pictures last night to compare at a later time - yuck, yuck , yuck!
