Day 65

I have not had any problems staying on plan or in the box since I took the weekend off. That was a real concern for the HMR folks, they said most can't get back into the box after cheating. I gained 8.2 pounds from last weekend's cheating which had put my weight back up to 272.2 in Tuesday (my weight at home on Monday was 275). Today I stepped on the scale it read 266.

The doctor said that all that water weight I'd lost in week 1, I'd gained back this week, but should see it drop back off. It has, and 2 more pounds and I'll be back to where I was 2 weeks ago.

I really wanted to try a salsa class last night, but got stuck at work and did not make it in time. Tonight they have a cardio jam class I'm thinking about trying. I'll write about it if I do.

Since I've taken some wight off, my hip has finally ceased hurting and I'm more active. I can stand and cook dinner for the family without having to sit down because of the hip pain, and I've started jogging again.

Monday I worked at a high intensity on the ski machine at the gym for 20 minutes, the immediately got on the treadmill for 10 minutes, which I ran 1/2 off. I'm still only able to run for 3-4 minutes at a time, but I'll continue to build that up.

When I was younger, skinny & healthy, I used to run in 10K races every year up through high school. I want to run a 10K before June. We have a Cowtown 10K race here each spring and I would really like to run in. I'm hoping I can get my husband to do it with me, he needs to exercise too.

I used to run the Cowtown years ago and it would go through the old historic area of Fort Worth and the stockyards. Yes; I am a Texas native, yes; there are cow's and horses right outside my office window, no, Texans don't ride horses to work (well most of us don't).

It is very encouraging to see that after taking the weekend off, that you were able to get back "in the box". In Jan I am planning on going to Hawaii for 5 days. I have no intentions on bringing shakes or entrees with me ... my idea of a liquid diet will involve Rum :) However, I am hoping and counting on coming back to reality and getting back to business.

Well done!

Allison

PS i love your blog.
