Hope everyone had a great New Year.
Still sick and it’s getting old. I’d started to feel, look & sound get better by mid last week, then the last 3 days I’ve had a complete relapse. This time the crud’s moved into my chest. Grrrrr.
Lot’s of decongestants, cough meds, nose spray, Motrin, etc.. only problem is that they all have caused me to retain water – one day the scale reads 257, the next 261. I would not fret about it, but I weigh in tomorrow.

Sorry I have not posted pictures yet – been super busy or sick in bed. I was trying to find pictures from last Christmas as a comparison and ran across one today that completely mortified me… not sure if I’ll post it or not – but wow… how did I ever let myself get that big.
I’ve been waiting to get better before taking a picture of me at my current weight. Will posted updated stuff soon.

I found a great bookcase/desk combo online at IKEA that I wanted to get for my daughters room. We’ve been thinking about re-doing parts of the house and they had some of the furniture we wanted to do it with. Yesterday was a family trip to IKEA – which is a LONG drive. Me, my husband, daughter and mother-in-law all went. They only had the desk in-stock (the website lied about availability). I started putting it together last night. My 5 year old daughter was a great help at first, but then decided to be difficult and then things started to fall apart, literally. She did not listen, got in the way, and whoosh the whole shelving unit started to crash down, in her direction.. Well it was either the computer monitor or her – so I pulled her out of the way, and a 6 foot piece of wood broke off and crashed into the monitor screen – demolished it too. I figured that I can replace the monitor – not my kid.
Looks kind of like this, but white and taller. Thought we wanted to big one – well I had to build it in her room, not thinking that we would never, ever be able to get it out of there – basically when we sell the house – the shelving and desk will stay.
Imagine the desk attached to the end. I’ll take a picture of the real-deal tonight when we finish getting everything put on it.So, luckily the broken shelf is not in a spot it can be seen, and all is well – just lot’s of tears and yelling to get there. Needless to say, I was very tired by the time everything was said and done last night.
