Day 120

I’ve been keeping up with the blogs of fellow HMR folks and have to take a moment to give kudos’s to Mr. Losing to Find Myself (link to his page is on the left). He has lost over 130 pounds and has officially broken that elusive 200 barrier.. WAY TO GO.. VERY INSPIRATIONAL.

I really enjoy reading about other’s success and find it helps me on my journey as well.

I had my HMR class last night – last one with this group that I’ve been attending with over the past 16 weeks. We are all parting ways and moving to different classes. Due to scheduling conflicts, I’ll be repeating this class again, which is fine because I still have a long ways to go. When the volleyball season ends, I’ll be able to move into the ongoing class.

Last night’s weigh in was 254, I seem to be stuck. I know the last couple of weeks were due to antibiotic and other gunk, but I’m ready for the 240’s. I need to force more PA into my week.. life and work has been so busy that I leave when it’s dark and get home when it’s dark – then have enough time to spend a few minutes with my kid and off to bed (or I’ll work from home some more). No, I’m not a work-a-holic…I am one of those sick people who actually loves my job (most days), it’s just the 1st quarter of the year is always my busiest time. I also need the PA as a de-stressor.

My goal this week is to leave the 250’s and meet the 240’s again. It will literally be almost 12 years since I’ve been at that weight, so it will be a very big personal accomplishment.

Here’s an updated picture from a couple of weeks ago.. I like that my extra chins are finally leaving! You can really see it against these two pictures from a few months ago.

I also found this cute one of my from when I was a kid.. just had to share.

Next week’s tough. I’m going to be in New Orleans all week for work. I always carryon and hate checking bags, but this time I’ve got to somehow take food & a blender with me. I have not decided how to handle that. I found this mini blender, battery operated with a plastic blade which I can take on the plane, but the real problem is during the conference.

Conference starts at 7am each day with breakfast, which I can skip.. then you are in the room all day and they bring food, snacks, etc.. usually it’s pastries and junk. I’ll have to bring products with me, but not sure how/when I’ll have a chance to mix them. Evenings consist of dinners, drinks, etc…This will be interesting.
