Hello World... miss me?!??!?!
Did you know that any diet works... yes they do - the key is sticking to it.. that is the hard part!
I've been floating around in the land of the lost dieters for the past two months.
RECAP OF WHERE I'VE BEEN
End of May:
Started taking a martial arts class, but my foot started giving me fits.
Saw doctor, he thought it was just a damaged tendon & gave me some antinflamitories.
Put a contract on a new house
June:
Went to Florida for a week - apparently the only way the family in FL eats food is deep fried.
Started back on my martial art's class and volleyball league, but my foot kept giving me fits.
Saw doctor again - he thought it was possibly a cyst or tumor in the foot - sent me for a CT scan and to see a specialist
Packed up entire house, ready to move to bigger place.
End of June:
Contract on house fell through hours before closing.. also it was my 31st birthday (happy birthday to me - you lost a house)
July:
Slowly unpacking the entire house, since we have decided to stay put for a while.
Specialist thinks I fractured a piece of bone off, sent for a MRI
Takes a week for insurance to approve the MRI
Doctor takes a week vacation
July 23 - Doctor calls - you have a fracture in your talus bone and a piece that's fracture off too. Now I have to wear a boot for the next 4 weeks while I wait for this thing to heal, hoping to avoid surgery
7/28 - Went to my HMR class - I'm back up to 276.. I've gained 20 pounds.
The good news is I got my blood work back and my Cholesterol is way down to 160, my blood sugar low, and all the other blood work came back excellent.
Apparently I'm super healthy, just fat!!!
Ugh..
So I am trying really hard to think ahead and plan meals so that I'm not tempted to grasp something quick and unhealthy.
I've gotten to the point that the HMR entrees are starting to taste gross & I just can't stomach them.. the shakes on the other hand are still great.. so I'm trying to find ways to incorporate HRM stuff into every day food.
Last night for dinner we had grilled fish with brown rice and I made a potato soup with the HMR Chicken Soup mix.. and it was GOOD.
Here's how:
3 extra large potato's peeled and cut up
Put in a pot with water, added sea salt & pepper and cooked till soft.
Drained potato's, added 2 packages of the HMR chicken soup mix, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and fat free milk
Mashed to mush and added water/milk to get desired consistency.
Added 1 teaspoon of the I Can't Believe it's Not Butter Spray (just enough to give the butter flavor
Wha-La you have low calorie potato soup using HMR product.
My husband does not like the HMR products (even though he's never tried any), so I was surprised to find him eating it.... and he liked it...ALOT. I told him it had the HMR products in it and he could not believe it.
Today's been a good day:
I've had 2 HMR vanilla shakes mixed with Crystal Light
1 HMR Savory Chicken Entree
1 mini bag of pop corn (100 cal per bag)
2 HRM 70+ mixed into puddings
Tonight I'll have more of the Potato Soup mixed with the HMR and whip up a new creation.
